Spaces and sharing

Households, members, roles and invitations.

A space is one collection of everything — usually a household. When you sign up you get one of your own. Everyone in a space sees the same things, and every change is logged against whoever made it.

Switching spaces

The name at the top left is the space you're in. If you belong to more than one, the menu under it switches between them. Anything you stash goes into the space shown there, so it's always visible.

Inviting someone

Open the space menu and choose Members & invites. Enter their email address and a role. They get an email with a link that works for 14 days and only for that address — signing in as someone else and using it does nothing.

Roles

viewer
Can see everything, change nothing.
editor
Can add, change, delete and undo.
owner
Can also invite and remove people and change their roles.

What can't cross between spaces

Nothing. A search, the Rummager, an API token and a scanned label each see exactly one space. To move something between spaces, stash it in the other one and delete it from this one.
