I stashed something and now I can't find it.: Try searching on Home with a shorter word — "lights" rather than "christmas fairy lights". Then look at Activity: it shows every change, so you'll see what was actually recorded, and if something was deleted by mistake you can undo it there.
Why does a thing say "No stock recorded"?: Because nobody has said how many there are or where. That's allowed — it's how wishlists work — but if you do have it, add stock on its page. See thing and stock.
How do I get a shopping list for just one shop?: Make a list that needs buying, in the place those things live — "needs buying, in Kitchen" for the supermarket. Things you've run out of still count as being where they live. See Lists.
Should I mark things "low", or set a minimum?: Either puts it on the shopping list. Set a minimum for things you count ("always keep 2 bags of flour") and it happens by itself; mark low by hand for things you don't count. See Dates and minimums.
Where have Places, Tags and the other pages gone?: Under Manage, in the menu. You rarely need them: places and tags are made by typing them when you add something. See Manage.
Where has the Kitchen page gone?: It's the Eat soon list now, in the menu, and it can be changed like any other list — a list of just the freezer, say.
Why did the Rummager ask me a question instead of doing it?: Usually because a place was ambiguous — two "Box 3"s — and it won't guess. Answer it, or give the place an alias so it's never ambiguous again. Or use the label code if the box has one.
Why isn't everything in my photo ticked?: Things it's unsure of start unticked, because a model looking at a busy shelf sometimes sees things that aren't there. Tick what's really there.
Can I search for what's in a box?: Not from Rummage, which searches things rather than places. Open the box on Locations, or scan its label: its page lists everything in it, and everything in anything inside it.
The camera on the Scan page doesn't work on my iPhone.: Safari can't read barcodes from the camera. Type the number instead, or use Chrome on Android. See Scan.
Is the Capture page different from the Inbox?: Capture is only for jotting things down, and works with no signal. The Inbox is where those jottings are dealt with, and can also take a photo or a voice note when you're online. See Capture.
Why didn't my voice note turn into text?: Either the server isn't set up to transcribe, or it failed — in which case the capture has a note saying so. It's still in the Inbox either way; nothing is lost. Play it back and stash by hand.
Something says "That could not be done (7K2P)". What's the code?: A reference for whoever runs the server. Tell them the four characters and they can see exactly what went wrong.
Can I have a second space, or rename mine?: Not from the website yet. You get one space when you sign up, and join others by invitation.
I can see things but the buttons don't work.: You may be a viewer in this space, which can look but not change anything. Ask an owner to make you an editor. See Spaces and sharing.
Why do I keep having to sign in?: You shouldn't, for 14 days. If you do, your browser may be clearing cookies — private browsing does this, and so do some privacy settings. A passkey makes signing in again a single touch. See Signing in.
